Jacob and the Town 3+
Katarina Klančnik Kocutar
The inspiration for this story came from browsing through the history of Maribor, but it could have happened in any town. Jacob is a little boy just like any other throughout time. He chases through the streets in 1532 or today. A child is always a child. And pigeons were living in towns in the past and live there today. The only difference is the fact that once there lurked different dangers. Jacob from the year 1532 is a boy, who with the help of his pigeon friend saves the town from invasion by the Turks. Through this story of the town we get to know how a boy and a pigeon become allies and how important courage and friendship are.
