Andrew Sleepless 3+
Barbara Simoniti / 60 min
Andrej is a boy who every evening has problems with the time, the time when to go to bed. Evening after evening his mother needs a lot of energy to get him to bed. And Andrej is a boy who has a very vivid imagination. So vivid that instead of the table in the dining room he sees a big ship, the curtains on the windows are sails, parquet tiles on the floor are waves of the sea ... Every night in his dream two monsters visit him and because of them he is having a nightmare night after night. One night he was dreaming about the sea, the waves, the whale ... When the monsters got scared of the whale, Andrej courageously stood up ... and he defeated him finally - fear namely.
The story tells about the problems of parents and children. Problems that at first glance seem completely ordinary and maybe that is why we give them too little attention. The story deals with the children’s imagination, which raises fears and paints monsters in children’s closet.
The picturesque narrative with a lot of metaphors raises many questions, offers a variety of answers and especially gently stirs the imagination of small and big readers.
