Transport: Fasten Your Seat Belts! 15+
Transport: Fasten Your Seat Belts! is a sharp and ironic satire that views contemporary society from a radically different perspective: from space. At the heart of the story is Robyn, who receives an ultra-luxurious birthday present: a commercial trip beyond Earth. However, what initially appears to be a symbol of progress and human achievement gradually reveals a far more disturbing reality.
As humanity depletes the planet’s resources and pushes ecological systems towards collapse, attention is increasingly turning towards the possibility of expansion into space. But does space exploration represent true progress, or merely another attempt to escape the consequences of life on Earth?
A performance that balances humour and social critique, it examines the relationship between technological progress, capitalism, privilege and environmental responsibility, whilst revealing the contradictions of a civilisation that seeks new frontiers before it has learnt to care for its own planet.
