Sweet Words 3+
Mateja Bizjak Petit / 40 min
A warm puppet show based on Belgian author Carl Norac’s story of family love and support, the performance highlights the importance of truly listening to children – something often lost in today’s fast-paced world. It also speaks to finding joy in the world, expressing emotions, and cherishing the people who are always by our side. We meet a family of hamsters and their young protagonist Lola, who wakes up one morning wanting to say something very important – but no one will let her get a word in. By evening, she has forgotten what it was. She knows the words are important, yet she cannot recall them. Were they meant for her mum and dad? For her teacher? Or perhaps for her friend Frankie? As luck would have it, in the end, she does remember… those sweet words!
