We, the Puppeteers ⁸⁺

The documentary We, the Puppeteers traces the rich creative journey of Breda and Tine Varl. Directed by Tjaša Juhart in collaboration with Martina Maurič Lazar, it forms part of the Puppet Diaries series, which preserves and celebrates the legacy of Slovenia’s most distinguished puppet artists (produced by the Museum of Puppetry, the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre, and UNIMA Slovenia). With warmth and wit, the two puppeteers guide us through the places and periods that shaped their work, from the Maribor Puppet Theatre and amateur stages to Austrian Carinthia.

Following the screening, the film’s creators will join Breda Varl for a live conversation with the audience.
