Discussion: The Palms of Puppet Technologists

The event is related to the conversations with four puppet technologists published in the catalogue of this year’s Biennial, where the masters of puppet technology openly and insightfully reflect on puppetry art, its place in the Slovenian theatrical and cultural space, and above all, on their work and themselves. The discussion with them will try to shed further light on their contribution to the development and state of Slovenian puppet technology and, above all, to describe the profession of puppet technologist, this rare and highly sought-after profession. Where can one learn it, how to approach it, how to find puppet workshops and knowledge about puppet making, and of course, how to endure in this delicate work with our hands when new technology is available to us? The palms of puppet technologists speak for themselves, and their "owners" are exceptional thinkers of puppetry art, important and indispensable in every story of creation with a puppet.
