From 21 to 25 September 2011 in the Puppet Theatre Maribor will be held a national biennale puppet festival Puppet Artists Foundation of Slovenia. This is a festival that hosts the best Slovenian puppet performances from the past two seasons, and this time the selector Amelie Kraigher has made the selection. This festival signifies the berry selection of the Slovene puppet theatre and offers the possibility for comparisons, professional exchanges and friendship. The Festival
program is divided in two parts – competitive and accompanying.
The latter will also host interesting performances from abroad; we will hold a consultation on puppet technology and talks on performances from the standpoint of the Slovenian puppet space as well as prepare two exhibitions.
With the establishment of suitable working conditions the Biennale returns for good to Maribor and with that rounds off the national theatre festivals in the city.
